Medical sales jobs - a challenging
terrain!
Medical Sales jobs are both exciting and rewarding,
the role offers the opportunity to plan their own day, set their own goals and,
hopefully, achieve them. It is also a demanding role and can be lonely.
The
sales people that work in Medical sales jobs provide a vital link between the
manufacturer of a wide range of Pharmaceutical, Medical and Scientific products
and the Doctors, Nurses, Technical Staff or Laboratory Personnel who use them.
Medical sales jobs represent the logical and in many cases, the only
starting point for a successful careers in sales and marketing. The level of representation
required varies widely from company to company in line with the nature of the
products supplied - ranging from the straight-forward and practical to the highly
technically advanced.
In Medical sales jobs the more technical the
product, the greater the emphasis on formal qualifications or direct experience
of product application, the less technical the product, the higher the emphasis
on practical selling skills. There is really no typical sales profile. Some clients
prefer extroverts; others are more concerned with tenacity and determination although
these attributes are not mutually exclusive. What all clients do require, however,
is an ability to communicate fluently, lucidly and in a sincere, convincing manner.
Typically, Medical sales jobs are filled by candidates with a Nurse, Paramedic
or Science Graduate.
